August Happenings
Dave and Kim came up Sunday evening and stayed over till Tuesday when they went to their friend, Josh's wedding.
I've been going to Curves since January, three times a week. In July my friend, Deanna fell out of a cherry tree and broke her ankle and can't do the exercise thing so I have to go alone. It's much harder to go without a friend. We encouraged each other. Today I plan to go. Bye for now.

Spring Cleaning 101
Do you have any good ideas or tips for spring cleaning? (organizing, cleaning tips, time-savers)
Example:
This fall we had some people come clean our windows on the outside. The guys cleaning it told me all they use is Dawn dishsoap and some water. I think it's about 1 TB soap to 1 quart water.
Anyway, it doesn't leave behind filmy residue like Windex or other glass cleaners do. They also said you can use it on mirrors and car windshields!

Everyone Has A Story: My Sweetheart

I thought it would be fun to share our stories of how we first met our sweethearts/or how you got engaged in celebration of Valentine’s. If you’d like to share your story, you can post a comment or make a new posting. I’m sure everyone will enjoy getting to know your story better!
Here’s my story of Robert & I:
The very first time I met Bob was at the Singles Ward in Idaho Falls. I actually was dating somebody else at the time, so when I first met him I kind of did the brush off. He knew my roommate from college and she introduced me. It was his first week at church. A few months later I broke up with the guy I was dating, and Bob and I were just friends. We “hung out” with mutual friends for a long time, until I got jealous when I saw him paying attention to other girls at a party one night. Then I realized maybe I liked him more than just a friend.
We got engaged the weekend of Sept.11th, 2001. I remember because it was really sad that week. We went out to eat at a restaurant and they had a moment of silence that was happening nationwide. It had been a long day and week for me at school, so I was tired. But Bob insisted he wanted to drive out to see some lava flow caves out in Arco. I really didn’t want to go, but finally agreed. When we got there, we climbed down into the cave and walked down the cave for a little bit, when Bob said “come here, look at this rock”. He was pointing up at something, and I came over to look but couldn’t see anything. Then he kept saying, “no, look there!” And there was my engagement ring! Of course I said “yes!” I think he had driven all the way out there to the cave earlier that day and planted the ring. He must have been sweating bullets when he thought he couldn’t get me to drive out there that night!

Kids Korner
Or kids- what do you have to say?

Whitney's been getting more and more creative with her pictures. She likes to draw people, especially herself and her mommy and daddy. Poor thing loves to be outside, but her pregnant mommy hasn't had much energy to take her out so much, plus it's freezing outside! We did go outside once this week though on a "nice day" of only 35 degrees out. When she's inside, she likes to play in her room and listen to her primary songs and dance around. Sundays she gets to wear her "pretty dress" which she gets excited about. Now we're just waiting for baby sister to come soon!

Snowfall
My family has been shoveling, and shoveling, and shoveling for about a month. Excellent exercise and it keeps us in good standing with the county laws. I've only heard few grumbles from Paul, who seems to get a lot of the shoveling assignments. Nimitz, one of our kitties, has to inspect the job. She watches from the window. When the walks are clear enough for her satisfaction, she heads outdoors to play for a while. The rest of us are just happy to enjoy the warmth of home and good books.
Love,
Becky
